| Birthday surprises, I suspect! |

This marks a little change for my website. Since I don't really have anything else to talk about, and I would so like to talk on here, from now on it's mostly going to be stuff that happens to me. You know, in my life.
Be warned: the highlights of my day tend to be things like having water fights in front of the sink while doing dishes, or tickling the bottoms of somebody's feet when I'm supposed to be clipping their toe-nails.
I am very domestic. Also, my birthday is on Saturday. I will be Twenty Four.
At Unity House, where I work and live, birthdays are a big thing. We all chip in and buy the birthday person seven or eight gifts, we decorate and break out the fancy dishes and silverware, everyone enjoys it. Everybody knows whats going on, but we try to keep it a secret anyway. It's fun.
This morning as I stumbled down the stairs to get breakfast started, a co-worker asked me if I would drive everyone to work for her. She presented what seemed a plausible explanation, but I was still half asleep and very susceptible to suggestion, so I agreed without listening to the rest. Thinking about it later, I couldn't figure out why she wanted to make the switch.
It now seems likely she just wanted me out of the house so they could wrap my birthday presents and hide the cake, which is always a tricky situation on birthdays. It also seems that springing it on me while I was dazed was a calculated move. Normally, such callous manipulation would get my goat. If my speculation is correct, however, it seems to have been for my own good, so I think I'll let it go.
Some part of me burns to reveal my cleverness, however, that, solely through my powers of logic and reasoning, I have uncovered the plot. I dunno, maybe I'll just say thanks instead.
